AI and social media addiction is driving everyone to speak the same way online and it’s getting me crazy

“We are working with x companies of the Fortune 500”

“It’s not X, it’s Y”

“I got retweeted by Y dude from Z fund, here is how to do it too”

“And honestly, that is what matters”

The same startups all the time, the same pitches with just slight variations. The same empty style, at every fucking corner of the Internet.

An investor friend of mine told me recently that Tier 1 VCs see everything SO much that they have a bias for things that feel different because they’re just bored. Well I’m not surprised, it’s literally frying my brain.

Not that I don’t understand why people do this, I do. Society converges towards some kind of blurb-style that everyone sort of understands and as long as you haven’t found yours, it’s probably better than nothing. But still, I am begging everyone to please be original and not use Claude or GPT for writing. Please, I’m going to lose my mind otherwise.
